Na kilo "aina: (building communities of conscious people of place to support "aina momona: productive and thriving communities) is an initiative whose ultimate goal is aina momona: abundant and thriving communities through developing and strengthening communities of conscious people of place. Na kilo aina, through outreach and education, provides programs and support focusing on a collective journey of health based on the natural and social environment and the co-dependent relationship needed for both to thrive. Through consciously including the healing journey of an individual person, family, and community, we support our people in recognizing their purpose and role within the broader community and the necessary collective contribution and investment to ecosystem health and abundance. We work with partners across the state of hawaii providing education and outreach opportunities to community and education groups, professional trainings and support to government and community organizations, as well as building capacity within our local communities working towards aina momona. In 2024 we have logged over 270 engagement days, 1800 engagement hours, and over 4,500 participants.funding sources and partnerships are mostly hawaii based organizations supporting native hawaiian, economically challenged, and minority communities. Na kilo aina currently works with over 60 organizations across the state and over 10 nationally and internationally.

Hanai kaiaulu: (feeding community) is a program focused on local food systems and the resiliency of our island home. Hanai kaiaulu works in various ways within all levels of distribution to ensure local farms and producers have the support to continue to feed our communities. Our activities include and consist of network and partnership support, connecting food producers with food hubs and consumers, and advocating for a loyal and committed consumer base to ensure continued planning, growing and providing food for our future. Hanai kaiaulu works with local partnerships and networks integrating food production, processing, distribution and consumption to improve the environment, economic, social and nutritional health of hawaii. In 2024, weve served over 4,500 individuals, logged approximately 925 hours, and worked within 14 communities.
