Natasha Watley Foundation

The centerpiece of nwf is the natasha watley softball league, camps & skill clinics. Through collaborative partnerships with the city of los angeles department of recreation & parks. Established in 2008, young girls ages 8- 15, mainly of african american (39%) and latino (61%) backgrounds participate in summer & fall softball leagues. Many of the participants are playing for the first-time and learning life skills that transcend the softball field.

This scholarship presented in partnership with the natasha watley foundation and the glasco family is awarded to a female member coach in her first five years of coaching who shows a commitment to growing the game of fastpitch in her communities and has a need for financial assistance to attend the convention.

This program matches top female scholar athletes from universities nationwide, with a local recreation center team. Each mentor is responsible for coaching, teaching the four points of the diamond, providing free instructional clinics throughout the year and recruiting young girls to play.
