Neighborimpact

Neighborimpact operated a successful head start program for 609 children and families. Neighborimpact's childcare resources received a substantial grant from the oregon legislature to expand childcare capacity in the region and successfully increased total slots by 10 percent. In addition, neighborimpact invested in workforce development for the region and provided subsidies to working parents in need of childcare opportunities.

Neighborimpact provided housing support to 1,360 people through its housing stabilization program. The organization also operated a homeless shelter in bend, (stepping stone) and redistributed funding from the state homeless assistance program and emergency solutions grant to support other homeless shelter operators in the region. The organization contributed land to a development partnership with the regional housing authority to develop cleveland commons, the first permanent supportive housing community in oregon east of the cascades.

Neighborimpacts other services include lending, which made loans to provide down payment assistance and to rehabilitate homes for low and moderate income homeowners.
