Mission
Provide volunteer and financial resources to refugees in the U.S.
Programs
2 programs
We provide grants directly to individual refugees and refugee families who have been in the U.S. for some time, typically more than one year. Grants are gifts (typically up to ~ $1,200) intended to help a family or individual over a financial hurdle and help them on their path to independence. Recipients are no longer being assisted financially by an organization or agency and the grants typically help with classes, childcare, trainings, uniforms, household supplies or medication, school supplies, emergency rent, moving expenses etc.
We also provide grants of $2,000 or $3,000 that specifically target food and housing insecurity for local groups of refugee families. The families are identified by partner community organizations, who handle the distribution of the funds, and report the amounts and recipient names back to us.
