Mission
NOYA is a local youth development intermediary in New Orleans. Its mission is to foster youth-centered policies and cultivates a system of high-quality well-resourced youth development organizations with the intent to drive the transformation of systems to better serve youth.

The New Orleans Youth Alliance NOLA-YPQI worked with New Orleans youth development organizations to take part in our YPQI assessments to evaluate and improve their programs. Assessments measure four aspects of programming: Safe Environment Supportive Environment Interaction and Engagement. These domains roughly mirror Maslows Hierarchy of needs with a Safe Environment equating to physiological needs and Engagement being similar to self-actualization. Last year YPQI partners saw a 10% increase in Engagement scores which is significant. Youth organizations here are beating national averages in Engagement,and we have achieved our highest Engagement scores as a network ever
The Opportunity Youth Forum seeks to scale multiple solutions that improve outcomes in education careers and well-being for Opportunity Youth. The Forum provides funding to bolster cross system and sector collaborative efforts in communities aimed at improving outcomes for youth and young adults. It implements additional grantmaking strategies that tie to a learning agenda evidence and field building and narrative and systems change. The purpose of this grant is to support the work of the New Orleans Youth Alliance its co-backbone partner the New Orleans Children and Youth Planning Board and partners in the New Orleans Opportunity Youth Collaborative to foster belonging meaning and purpose as the north star for the rising generation with a focus on reforming the systems meant to support youth and young adults.
