Mission

OBHC exists to show and share the love of Christ to children and their families. We do this through our four residential campuses, eight pregnancy centers, and Foster Care Ministries. During 2024, 116 individuals professed faith in Christ through the ministries of OBHC.

Programs

2 programs

The Hope Pregnancy Center ministry (HPC) offers free, confidential, medical-grade pregnancy testing and education on all pregnancy options. Ultrasounds are used to determine pregnancy and gestational age. Empowered Parenthood classes on pregnancy and baby care are offered for expectant moms and dads. Adoption education and referrals are available and abortion recovery classes are provided for those hurting from abortion. HPC has 7 locations throughout Oklahoma in addition to a mobile unit. During 2024, 94 individuals accepted Christ through the Hope Pregnancy Center ministry. HPC served 3,325 individuals and 1,283 ultrasounds were provided, with 87% of those who received an ultrasound choosing life for their babies. HPC also had 556 mothers and fathers participate in Empowered Parenting classes.

Foster Care Ministries is an initiative with three primary goals. The first is to assist churches in the development or enhancement of foster care ministry that encourages, supports and ministers to resource families within their church and community. Secondly, it connects families interested in becoming foster parents with licensed child-placing agencies throughout Oklahoma. It also provides opportunities for ongoing training. During 2024, 47 referrals were sent by Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children to foster/adoptive agencies, 67 churches were engaged in discussions regarding foster care ministries, and 1,536 total training hours were provided, serving 160 adults and 84 children. 2 individuals accepted Christ as their savior through this ministry during 2024.
