Oklahoma Geological Foundation

Oklahoma geological foundation summer field camp program:since 2012, the oklahoma geological foundation has provided funding forover 298 college level students to attend summer geology field camps.these students are enrolled at oklahoma state university, theuniversity of oklahoma, and the university of tulsa. The geology fieldcamp grants range from $500 to $2,000 per student. These grants arefunded by the oklahoma geological foundation from two field campprograms: the oklahoma geological foundation summer field camp program & the frederick m. Black summer field camp program.

Since 2010 , over 900 grants, scholarships & awards have been distributed to students, teachers and schools, which includes field camps and rock mineral and fossil collections.

Geokids - "geology explores in oklahoma; kids investigating and doing science" is a joint venture between the oklahoma geological foundation and the oklahoma geology survey, started in 2018. The program provides a engageing and interactive hands-on geoscience program to teachers and students, which includes a geokid kit to each individual student. Since 2018, 4,345 kits have been assembled and disseminated to children throughout oklahoma. Geokids had a record breaking year in 2024, with over 1,000 children receiving a kit.
