The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition grows and develops Oklahomas visual arts community through education, promotion, connection, and funding.

Economic Investment OVAC provides vital financial resources to artists that support business growth and the expansion of their creative practices, thereby contributing to the states cultural and economic prosperity. In FY24, the Grants for Artists program awarded $16K in funding to 20 artists to purchase equipment or supplies, advance education, or create new projects. Through a partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Thrive Grants program awarded $60K, supporting 437 artists to conduct large-scale collaborative community arts projects that were open and accessible to the public and served audiences of over 4,000. Artists also earn income through awards, honoraria, and sales commissions by participating in OVACs programming.

Artist Professional Development OVAC equips over 1,500 artists annually with free skill-building and educational opportunities to advance their careers and reach new audiences. The Artist Survival Kit (ASK) program presents Workshops, Office Hours, and Panel Discussions on topics such as marketing, preparing artwork for exhibitions, and legal compliance. Art Crit Night is a free public event featuring local artists who present their work during a curator-led discussion. Photo Studio provides artists with professional images of their artwork to build their portfolio and enhance their online presence at an affordable cost. The Membership program connects subscribers to addtional resources and services to advance their professional development.
