To entertain, educate, and enrich through the highest quality of dance.

Ballet school: classes offered to individuals of all ages to promote interest in ballet.

Expenses: $2.4MGrants: $392K

Nutcracker: professional dance performance of the holiday classic, approximately 22,087 attendance, with the purpose of providing cultural exposure to the public. December 2023 marked the world premier of our new nutcracker production, requiring one-time expenses that caused this production's material increase in expense compared to last year's production.

Ob's community enrichment programs bring the physical and emotional benefits of dance to a wide range of underserved individuals in central florida, serving 18,800 individuals throughout 2023-24. Programs include:scholarship training for the enrichment of primary students (steps), which provides pre-school through high school students from title i schools and under-resourced communities with ballet training, dance attire, and scholarship opportunities; relev in search of excellence (rise), in collaboration with orange county public schools (ocps), which provides educational and professional development instruction by ob's world-renowned faculty through on-site, semester-long residencies at orange county middle and high schools with existing dance and performing arts programs; come dance with us!, in partnership with orlando health arnold palmer hospital for children, nemours children's health, unlocking children's potential, community arts connection, and northland church, which provides dance workshops for children and adults with varying physical and developmental disabilities; gentle bemoved, an international dance fitness program, that serves local seniors and those with limited mobility; neon club, a monthly dance social event for adults with special needs hosted at harriett's orlando ballet centre; intro to ballet, which provides up to 15,000 ocps second graders with a professional ballet performance each year; and emotions in motion, in collaboration with victim service center of central florida, which provides weekly therapeutic dance and creative movement classes to victims of domestic violence, trauma, and abuse.additionally, in 2020-21, ob introduced new sensory-friendly performances of our popular family shows to ensure that children with sensory processing challenges and their families can enjoy ballet.
