Mission
With "kinship and the power of music" as its motto, Our Joyful Noise Baltimore (OJN) serves the essential human need for beauty and connection with art through free live musical performances of the highest professional quality presented in a veterans' shelter, women's prison, cancer treatment residence, and for people living with autism in the Baltimore community. Our vision is of a world where all people regardless of economic situation, disability challenge or circumstance have easy access to the life affirming splendor of live music. In addition to bringing music to under served audiences, OJN seeks to enrich the lives of our performers, including young, emerging artists on the cusp of their professional careers. We inspire our musicians to create unique musical experiences that touch the hearts of our audience members and that, in turn, help these artists reconnect with the meaning, purpose and relevance of what they do.
