Programs
4 programs
Psj develops and supports local approaches that address the root causes of crime and promote accountability, healing, and long-term safety. These include restorative justice, harm reduction, and health-based responses. We help advance programs that allow families to remain connected and that improve outcomes for both parents and children such as oregon's family sentencing alternative program.
Psj provides education and fosters dialogue to strengthen public understanding of what truly creates safety in our communities.
Psj's leadership academy: through our leadership academy, psj equips community members including those with lived experience in the criminal legal system with tools to engage effectively in civic education, systems improvement, and leadership development.
Health justice recovery alliance: fiscally sponsored by psj, hjra is a statewide coalition working to advance recovery-oriented approaches to substance use and behavioral health. Hjra worked to help implement the oregon's drug addiction treatment and recovery act by ensuring that overdose prevention, sud and other recovery services are accessible, equitable, and centered on the needs of communities most impacted by historic drug policies.
