Conservation Governance and Management Through this program the organization supported and helped advance biodiversity conservation measures in protected area landscapes in 2024 through working with protected area authorities and local communities. Specific activities within the program have included strengthening the conservation and management capacities of protected area authorities and working with local civil society to further conservation of natural resources particularly in Indonesia Thailand Vietnam but also in Papua New Guinea. Some of the work under this program includes social forestry for habitat restoration and forest protection in high conservation value forests near areas or within conservation area landscapes. Most of the work under this program is carried out with the involvement of local stakeholder communities. Expenses figure is an estimate and may overlap with other initiatives as most species research and conservation work is funded through integrated programs covering multiple conservation components.

Species Research and Conservation The organization undertakes comprehensive biodiversity research at key sites developing and implementing targeted strategies to safeguard threatened species and their habitats. In addition to these scientific efforts the program actively engages with local communities and government stakeholders to strengthen conservation management in high-conservation value forest landscapes. By fostering collaborative approaches and building local capacity the organization enhances the protection of biodiversity including endangered species eg. Tapanuli Orangutan Eastern Lowland Gorilla Red-capped Mangabay Francois Langur Gray Shanks Langur Lar Gibbon Agile Gibbon Siamang Gibon Eastern Black Crested Gibbon Hoolock Gibbon Sumatran Tiger Clouded Leopard other. and their habitat and associated species and promotes sustainable stewardship of high conservation value forests in the regions where it operates.
