Colorado outdoor regional partnership ppora has been awarded a series of grants from the state to conduct planning for conservation and recreation priorities for the pikes peak region. We lead a task force, maintain a partnership and fund with uccs to create and host a pikes peak outdoor economy data hub, evaluated prior planning documents for the region, investigated innovative land and recreation management models, conducted public outreach throughout el paso, teller, and fremont counties and met with other regional partnerships across colorado. In 2024 this work continued with a final round of targeted community engagement on planning pillars, prioritization of strategies and action items, and the beginning of early wins implementation. This work continues into 2025.
