A dance company that creates and performs in theatrical and nontraditional spaces, provides workshops and commissions other artists for audiences.

PWC launched Grass Stains in 2016 to comission site-specific,site- Adaptive, and public art works from emerging choreographers, providing rehearsal space, financial support,and mentorship to the selected artists. Grass stains is produced every other year. Five cycles of Grass Stains have engaged nearly 80 local choreographers and performance artists for fully produced site-specific projects, in addition to providing mentroship, professional development. Launched in 2022, Creative Connections provides selected artists with a monthly stipend to support targeted contributions to the artistic community, separately from rehearsal and performance labor. Each receives a budget and administrative support to enact a project (Performance, class or seires of workshops, panel discussion, community gathering, film, etc.) in service of PWC that furthers their artistic and professional growth. To date, CC has hosted 4 cohorts of 12 artists and has seeded ongoing paid teaching gigs, international film festival preieres and choreography commissions. PWC is currently hosting its 4th Creative Connectons Cohort
Free workshops for the community. During 2024, PWC initiated a weekly workshop for people in Recovery in Motion Co-facilitated by two PWC members. In 2024 there were 14 sessions with 15 to 25 participants each week. This program has continued into year 2025. Other outreach opportunities include Birds of Paradise, Apollo, and In the Belly of the Bird-themed workshops. PWCs performance and attendance at the Association of Performing Arts Professionals Conference in NYC is also part of the companys outreach.
