The study continues to recruit subjects and at in discussions with a potential second clinical site which will expand the subject recruitment population. The principal investigator, dr. Jeffrey stern, presented study results as an invited speaker at the national eye institute. The institute was also successful in obtaining regenerative medicine advanced therapy (rmat) designation from the fda for its cell-based therapy.
