We joined the 58th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, AL, alongside President Biden to continue the push for the protection of voting rights. Ahead of Bloody Sunday, we sent an open letter to President Biden and Congress with more than 1,700 signatures, to demand the full restoration of the Voting Rights Act, living wages, access to adequate healthcare for all Americans, and economic development initiatives that support poor and low-wealth communities.
Repairers of the Breach organized a Moral Monday in Tennessee (TN). Over 1,000 faith and impacted leaders joined moral advocates from across the nation came to challenge the overreach of extremists in state legislatures during a Tennessee Moral Monday in Nashville. A fusion coalition led by faith leaders carried caskets to the state capitol to remind people of the death-dealing policies that needed to be addressed and to demand lifesaving legislation, like gun reform.
The organization has various other programs involving Theomusicology and Cultural Arts, Moral Political Organizing Leadership, and various other community outreach programs that assist in bringing social justice and issues to the forefront.
