Safe harbor, a non-profit organization, provides shelter, supportiveservices and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as education, awareness and resources to our community. Our vision is to empower individuals to choose a life free of violence. Safe harbor operates with these values: everyone has a right to a safe, self-determined life free of violence.safe harbor crisis center treats each person as an individual providing a safe placeto heal and services that will help them leave better than they came.interpersonal violence affects everyone. There is an intergenerational cycle of violence we must address with intervention, education, and community awareness. Children from violent homes experience trauma that can have a lifelong impact.domestic and sexual violence are about power and control. Safe harbor crisis center strives to create a community where violence and abuse are not tolerated.
Programs

VICTIM ADVOCACY SHELTER: This program provides immediate safe housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault. The purpose is to stabilize a crisis situation, provide a secure environment, and begin advocacy and case-management toward longer-term recovery. In 22-23 Shelter helped 293 people.
VICTIM ADVOCACY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING: This program supports survivors transitioning from crisis/homelessness toward safe, stable and independent permanent housing. The purpose is to provide 3-12 months(depending on program), combined with advocacy and case-management to build self-sufficiency and safety. In 22-23 Housing helped 305 people.
