Journals: annals of behavioral medicine and translational behavioral medicine. Publishes original empirical articles on behavioral medicine and the integration of biological, psychosocial, and behavioral factors and principles. Translational behavioral medicine. A peer-reviewed journal to engage, inform, and catalyze dialogue between the research, practice, and policy communities about behavioral medicine.

Expenses: $128K

Leadership institute: the purpose of the sbm leadership institute is to turn participant fellows into more effective leaders by fostering self-awareness and the development of leadership skills. The year-long institute kicks off with an in-person, two-day workshop where participant fellows attend skill-building sessions. Then, throughout the institute year, fellows develop their own self-identified leadership projects, and receive one-on-one coaching from professional coaches and peer-group mentoring from sbm leaders. Participants assess and deepen inherent leadership qualities; acquire skills such as managing collaborative teams, influencing, and mentoring; connect with other mid-career professionals who share a desire to become highly effective leaders; and learn from and be mentored by leaders in the field of behavioral medicine.
