Cargill global strategic partnership aims to benefit farmers and the environment through a 3-year comprehensive project that focuses on farmers' livelihoods, climate-friendly agriculture, and land use and conservation following a country-level and commodity specific approach across latin america (latam) and asia. In latam, the partnership focuses on soy in argentina, bolivia, and paraguay (ar-bol-py) for a combined soy project, palm oil in colombia, and a scoping exercise for white maize in mexico, in asia, the project focuses on palm oil in malaysia. Moreover, parallel to these country-level projects, there is a global management component to the partnership where the focus is on data protection and information security (in latam), global communications, and planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (cargill global strategic partnership) across all components with close coordination with regional project leads.
Paraguay jurisdictional approach / walmart foundation, mas cana / barry calebaut, mitsubishi regenerative agricultural practices for smallholders, general purpose is to bring together supply chain actors and engage them in innovative solutions to improve production, ensuring the transition to a sustainable and inclusive economy that maximizes the benefit for all.
The bill and melinda gates foundation focuses on strengthening and scaling kvuno, a social enterprise that aims at delivering low-cost, high impact, digitally-driven bundled services to small farmers in malawi, mozambique and zambia.
