Tec centro: the workforce program serves the community by offering leadership, educational, and job training assistance. The program also provides employment services, job placement, english as a second language, ged/hiset classes, employment case management and skill trainings to 1,379 individuals.
The nuestra clinica education & prevention services (hiv/aids/sti) program provides everything from educational resources and case management to treatment and therapeutic services. A total of 5,183 clients were served for the fiscal year 23-24 and of those, 42 clients were seen by our std physician, treated and linked to medical care.the following are the numbers of services provided through the 2023-24 fiscal year for the following programs: outreach senior center, community meals and human service program.outreach services to senior citizens - during the fiscal year of 23-24, a total of 599 unduplicated senior citizens received outreach services for a total of 1,886 visits. A total of 1,791.5 hours were rendered in the delivery or direct services to senior citizens.for the senior center nutrition program - 12,494 breakfasts, 15,954 lunches, and 15,077 dinners were provided.the community meals program distributed 19,163 lunches and 10,409 dinners for a total of 29,579 meals during 313 service days.the human services program provided a total of 3,150 hours of services to 1,260 clients in an effort to provide social service support that would reduce homelessness.the children and youth program provided educational and family support to latino families and individuals in need of assistance in a hybrid model for fiscal year 2023-24. The cya served 15 families/households for a total of 20 children. Additionally, a total of 375 interpretation services were provided during fiscal year 2023-24, an average of 94 per month. As of 12/31/2023 saca was no longer contracted to provide these services.
The organization supports its low-income housing subsidiary through pass-through grants related to low-income housing. The organization also supports its various affiliated organizations through its organizational expertise.
Wlch-fm radio centro began broadcasting in 1987 with the purpose to inform and provide the latest news and information to the hispanic communities in lancaster (91.3fm) and in york (100.3fm).wlch produces more than 1,500 hours of original programming to educate and entertain its audience, who spend an average of 9.2 hours per day listening to its programming, and has an average of 15,000 people connected every 15 minutes.wlch is a public radio station and counts on a team of 15 volunteers who produce 60% of its programming.wlch primarily reaches latino adults between the ages of 18 and 65 years old with a history of listening more than 15 years.by the end of 2022, wlch's podcast was able to be found on more than 15 digital platforms including: spotify, google podcasts, apple podcasts, amazon music, audacy and pandora."cafe con leche", the morning live show that wlch produces monday through friday, is one of the most listened programs and has become very popular since its onset. Every year more than 800 interviews created by wlch that range from health, education, parenting, public policy, lifestyle, and latino oriented topics, take place for an audience that values the way that wlch informs, inspires and educates a community avid to broaden its horizons.
