Stone soup empowers people experiencing barriers to employment to achieve self-reliance through training for careers in the food service industry.

In 2024, stone soup pdx continued to build on our mission of providing hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing barriers to employment. We welcomed 51 participants into our workforce training program and delivered more than 5,700 hours of industry-based instruction, mentorship, and wrap-around support.our reputation for impact and participant success remains strong, reflected in continued demand for enrollment and growing community partnerships that create meaningful employment pathways for our trainees. This year, we also expanded alumni engagement and strengthened supportive services to ensure participants have the tools they need to succeed both during and after training.
