Mission
Student Engineers' Council (SEC) strives to be the representative voice of all engineering students at Texas A&M (TAMU). It works to increase engineering awareness through its programs and events and it fosters the professional advancement of all TAMU engineering students within the college of engineering.
Programs

Promotion of Engineering Awareness - Student Engineers' Council promotes engineering awareness through a number of outreach events both on and off campus. Each semester, SEC hosts a camp exposing high school students to opportunities in engineering. Additionally, SEC holds a regional engineering competition and week-long engineering awareness event on-campus. Further, SEC is involved in a number of philanthropic activities.
Representative Voice of Engineering Students - Student Engineers' Council promotes engineering awareness to both Texas A&M University and the Bryan/College Station area. In addition to conducting a bi-annual survey of student opinion presented to the college administration, SEC also contributes funding to a wide range of engineering-related student organizations on campus. Additionally, SEC promotes its events and represents Texas A&M at a regional and national conference of engineering councils
