Tejano Center For Community Concerns Inc

Community services: includes three programs community learning center (cjd program) and juvenile justice program are to reduce the incidence of juvenile delinquency through the provision of focused, structured prevention/intervention activities that help the youth develop positive self-esteem, high self discipline, increased self respect and encourage decreased street violence, and drug and gang involvement. Adult basic education program provides ged, esl, and basic computing classes to neighborhood residents and parents of ryss students.

Housing: stimulates the revitalization of innercity neighborhoods through the development of affordable housing.

Foster care: provides for the placement of abused/neglected and homeless children in culturally and language appropriate foster homes. The program is licensed by the state department of protective and regulatory services. Tejano center has two contracts with the texas department of family & protective services, an emergency shelter and child placing agency.

College and career advisory: helps individuals get into and through college, as well as provide career counseling services. The program includes a continuum of services to high school students, as they transition to college, and while they are pursuing a workforce certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree.
