Specific assistance: tenaciously teals financial assistance program meets one of the most pressing and overlooked needs faced by cancer fighters: the steep, often unexpected costs of simply getting through treatment. Beyond medical bills, many individuals struggle to afford gas for countless trips to chemo, meals during long infusion days, rent or utility payments when income drops, or child-care and lodging costs when treatment requires travel. This program provides direct, compassionate financial relief so fighters can focus on healing rather than worrying about basic needs. In doing so, tenaciously teal not only lightens an immediate financial burden but also restores dignity and hope, affirming to each recipient that their community sees them, values them, and stands beside them in their fight.
Brave shave parties: the organization hosted their first brave shave for a male, and provided the experience to 10 cancer fighters and their families. Tenaciously teals brave shave program transforms one of the most difficult moments in a cancer journey- losing your hair-into a powerful act of courage, choice, and community. By providing a safe and supportive space for cancer fighters to shave their heads on their own terms, brave shaves turn what could feel like loss into an experience of empowerment. Each event is surrounded by friends, family, stylists, and volunteers who rally with encouragement, prayer, and celebration, reminding participants that they are not alone. In addition to receiving a compassionate shave from a volunteer stylist, participants are gifted a tenaciously teal care pack filled with comfort items for treatment and often have the option to take part in an empowerment shoot that captures their bravery in striking photographs. More than a haircut, a brave shave is a public declaration of strength and a visible expression of the organizations mission to bring love, community, empowerment, and resources to cancer fighters and their families.
Tenacious together: see schedule o for complete description.
Care pack parties: the organization wouldnt have been able to disburse thousands of care packs without help from our volunteers and community partners who hosted care pack parties throughout the year. T. Teal held 32 care pack parties in 2024, at businesses, rotary clubs, churches, schools, and private events throughout oklahoma. These events allowed adults, children, and families to give back and support cancer fighters.
Public awareness: the organization continued to grow its outreach in 2024, which was done through participation in several community events to spread awareness about their programs as well as ovarian cancer awareness.
