Our mission is to promote the bicycle as a vehicle for change to empower youth and build resilient communities. Through our programs, we spark life-long passion for cycling and the outdoors; provide a supportive community where youth are empowered to discover their voices, strengths, and potential; and offer hands-on vocational and soft skills training to prepare alumni for jobs both in and out of the cycling industry. Program graduates gain skills related to mechanics and engineering, customer service, warehousing and inventory management, environmental stewardship and sustainability, race and social justice, and community building, and are eligible for paid apprenticeships at Bike Works upon completion.
