Mission

Building pathways to success for the children of immokalee. Provide educational and career-building opportunities that open the students' eyes to their personal potential.

Programs

4 programs

The immokalee readers program:the immokalee readers program is an intensive reading intervention program, targeting the lower 17% of readers from kindergarten through third grade. This after-school program matches elementary students with high-school age tutors for productive, enjoyable reading lessons. While elementary students are making reading gains, even the tutors themselves improve their overall reading proficiency and develop new skills and confidence mentoring kids.

Expenses: $731K

Career pathways learning lab:one of the four career pathways programs that is offered is a hands on professional career expereince for those students interested in engineering and construction management. With the aid of industry professionals, students are building a 18-home community and learn about land development, home construction and marketing and sales. Under this program students will choose their own paths to career readiness through college or skills-based preparation. As with other pathways, this program prepares students for a professional career by giving them an early start in career exploration and options and supporting them in their chosen pathway throughout their education.

Expenses: $728K

Take stock in children:scholarships are awarded to qualified seventh-grade students who successfully fulfill their pledge to earn good grades, exhibit good behavior, volunteer community service time and meet weekly with a mentor.
