Mission
To bring percussion music to new stages across the world, presenting concerts on national and international stages as well as the ensemble's home city of chicago. Performances include repertoire from diverse compositional voices in recitals, multi-media performances, community performances, and collaborations with orchestras, children's choirs and dancers. The grammy award winning ensemble extends its performing through recorded media with commercially released albums and streaming audio/video content, including first recordings of new works as well as iconic percussion works of the past;to develop new repertoire for percussion, engaging leading composers and music creators of many backgrounds through a deeply collaborative process to create new works that speak to a range of modern experiences; andto be active in the field of arts education by presenting outreach and educational concerts to primary and secondary school-aged childer, exposing younger generations to music.

Commissioning new works: third coast percussion commissioned andpremiered 14 new musical works during their performance season. Theensemble completed its 11th annual "currents creative partnership", aprogram that selects developing music creators from across the world tocollaborate with the ensemble in creating new works.
Youth education and community engagement activites: third coast percussion provided 36 educational performances, classes, and clinics to k-12 schools, community centers, and colleges/universities throughout the u.s. As well as brazil, germany, and hong kong. Third coast percussion continued their chicago-based educational inititative "embark" in partnership with the people's music school and released multiple educational videos for online streaming platforms. As part of its ensemble-in-residence position at denison university, third coast percussion participated in the 3rd annual summer tutti performing arts camp for high school musicians.
