El paso united community resiliency center (crc)the community resiliency center (crc) successfully connects el pasoans to housing stability resources, such as rent, mortgage, and utility assistance. Once connected to the crc, individuals are referred to resiliency navigators who work closely to learn their individual needs, develop a personalized plan, and make gains towards recovery and resiliency.the el paso united community resiliency center (crc) provided 755 referrals to basic needs assistance, serving over 347 households, with $205,920 being distributed for rental assistance throughout the borderland.

Family resiliency center:in the wake of the august 3rd mass casualty event, the agency was entrusted to stand and lead the el paso united family resiliency center (frc), founded to support individuals who were directly or indirectly impacted by the tragedy. In the last fiscal year, the el paso united family resiliency (frc) provided more than 1,786 referrals, serving more than 621 adults and 116 children who were affected by the august 3rd tragedy.the family resiliency center (frc) collaborates with local agencies and supports el pasoans on their healing journeys. The frc team is composed of dedicated resiliency navigators who connect individuals and families to vital resources throughout the community.

Flying horse half marathon, 10k and 5kacquired by the united way of el paso county in 2024, the flying horse half marathon, 10k, and 5k supports the united way's mission with a new source of funding. The race takes runners around the racetrack, through sunland park, and into el paso's upper valley. Proceeds benefit the united way's community impact fund. The race also features the workplace race, a team challenge for employee groups, and race for a cause, a peer-to-peer fundraiser supporting local nonprofits.educationhealthy kids backbone organization the boost network is a partnership focuses on enhancing the impact of the ost providers through comprehensive leadership, capacity building, technical support, and programmatic evaluation. The network grew to 97 members throughout the el paso, las cruces, and ciudad juarez region.parents as teachersparent educators conducted 1,546 home visits, serving 258 children and 235 families. The parents as teachers (pat) program is an evidence-based, award-winning, free home visitation program that supports early childhood development. It teaches parents and caregivers about important milestones and school readiness. Once enrolled in the program, families receive personalized visitations from our parent educators with an emphasis on parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family wellbeing. Parents and caregivers enrolled in the program also gain access to exclusive events, a resource network comprised of local organizations and services, and more.senior funda collaboration between the area agency on aging, the el paso times, and united way, the senior fund helps cover the cost of items and services that are not fully covered through social services. Last year, the el paso community provided items and services including toiletries, bathroom remodels, dentures, hearing aids, and more. Efsp - emergency food and shelter programunited way of el paso county administers and facilitates emergency food & shelter program (efsp) with a local jurisdiction board to assist organizations and essential programs offering provisions and housing to those most in need. The (efsp) supports those experiencing hunger and homelessness throughout the el paso community. In the 2024-25 fiscal year, efsp distributed $442,988 to 10 local agencies.healthunited way of el paso county supports a healthy community by funding and leading mental health and wellness services. Through our community impact fund, we fund critical programs providing mental health services to el pasoans, including children. Our united way also serves as the backbone for el paso united, which connects el pasoans to quality resources and services, supporting their mental wellness in the aftermath of the august 3rd tragedy.financial stabilitycaring homes initiativethe caring homes initiative (chi) program aims to build the capacity of small, minority-owned childcare businesses by connecting them with resource navigation and financial assistance to stabilize or grow their businesses. Chi advocates for the future generations of el paso by supporting small business owners in their financial and managerial capacities, providing mentorship and guidance, and increasing access to and improving childcare services to meet safety and quality standards of licensure. The caring homes initiative's (chi) cohort supported 35 home-based childcare businesses had two new providers complete the program in 2024; supported over 330 children and 33 providers received the texas rising star (trs) certification. Community engagementyoung leaders society (yls) and rise with ylsthe united way young leaders society inspires and engages the next generation of philanthropic and civic-minded leaders in the community they call home with 142 rise with yls members and 107 young leaders society members. In return, they receive opportunities to network, engage with united way's volunteerism efforts, invites to social events, and leadership & development mentorship. United way's signature event, engage summit, is a vibrant gathering of change-makers,leaders, and community advocates united by a shared mission: fostering meaningful connections and driving lasting impact. With 240 attendees raising $54,886.volunteerelpaso.orgvolunteerelpaso.org is an online database managed by united way that connects el pasoans to volunteer opportunities throughout the city. Together, we support local agencies with much needed volunteers. Over 1,086 volunteer needs were met with 2,188 volunteer hours from agencies posting their needs on our volunteerelpaso.org website. Realize board training united way helps to facilitate the realize board training program which prepares board members - or those interested - to successfully lead and serve on a non-profit board. Over 300 participants attended our trainings through 16 lunch & learn sessions and 10 individual organization trainings. Americorps vistaas a national service program, americorps vista is designed to build the capacity of organizations working to empower individuals and communities. Through the hard work of our americorps vista members, we've supported the el paso county housing authority and united way. 11 americorps members served on the parents as teachers program in the last year and completed 12,860 volunteer hours.
