The mission of the united way of pickens county is to optimize the organized capacity of people to care for another with the vision to lead pickens county in creating and developing talents and resources to enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and the community.

Volunteerism program - volunteerism is an effective way to interject public participation into the organizations operations and decision making process. Volunteerism also provides individuals and businesses in the community training in the areas of providing for community needs and in advocating the causes of the provider organizations.

211 call program - the pickens county 2-1-1 call program provides value in connecting people to local non-profit, faith-based organizations and public services quickly, easily and confidentially for the purpose of either receiving or giving help in meeting human service needs or in the aftermath of disaster. The service is available at no cost to callers.
