$2.0MCultural mobilizationthe cultural mobilization project creates opportunities for collective participation in cultural activities grounded in latino icons and stories to foster cultural cohesion, pride, and community engagement. The program connects cultural traditions to civic participation in order to strengthen shared identity and empower latino communities to take collective action.in 2024, equis partnered with more than 20 community organizations to build culturally resonant civic engagement initiatives. Equis launched a campaign linking da de los muertos to civic responsibility and voter participation, helping lay the groundwork for mexican american and broader latino communities to associate the holiday with community empowerment. The campaign supported increased awareness of civic duty through culturally relevant content, partner activations, and community touchpoints.youtube moonshotthe youtube initiative produces culturally relevant and engaging digital content to help latino audiences make sense of current events, politics, and social issues. The program focuses on strengthening media literacy, countering harmful narratives and disinformation, and building confidence and trust in democratic institutions among latino viewers.in 2024, the initiative launched aca entre bros, a talk format centered on the experiences of latino men in the united states. Reaching this audience has been a priority since 2022, and significant investment was made to identify talent and format approaches that resonated. The series achieved strong organic traction, reaching more than 644,000 views within its first six months, demonstrating high engagement with this hard to reach demographic.talent pipelinethe talent pipeline initiative builds a bench of future latino leaders who are accountable to their communities through strategic recruitment, professional development, and placement into public service and nonprofit leadership roles. The program aims to increase latino representation in positions of influence and strengthen leadership pathways rooted in community responsibility and service.in 2024, equis collected more than 200 resumes to support recruitment for public service and nonprofit leadership roles, and convened and engaged over 300 latino appointees. Through this work, the initiative fostered a network of emerging leaders who strengthened their connection to latino identity and civic responsibility, and committed to supporting one another in advancing community centered leadership.
