OREGON LATINO HEALTH COALITION

Olhc staff leads and/or participate in advocacy that results in a public policy change that will eliminate health disparities and improve the health care status of latinos and latinas in oregon. The policy & advocacy team have implemented the access to our healthier oregon program. Additionally, the team has focused and have researched local and national tobacco preventative policies and have completed a policy and data brief regarding latinos tobacco trends in oregon. Lastly, the latino emotional health collaborative (lehc) has been around since 2019 and it is a group of latino specific service organizations in the portland metro region, working to define address mental and behavioral health service gaps for the latino community in oregon. Advocate for latinx emotional and mental health as a statewide priority and advance public policy. Assess latinx data and service gaps.
