QUALITY OF LIFE FOUNDATION FOR METROPOLITAN DALLAS

A grant was paid to Communities Foundation of Texas for $50,000 and a $7,000 payment was made to Dallas Regional Chamber for Scholarships of (2) individuals in the Leadership Dallas Class.

Leadership Dallas class projects are service projects that are organized, coordinated, fundraised, and executed by the Leadership Dallas cohorts. The cohorts include a range of professional expertise, including operations, technology, legal, and consulting across a range of diverse industries. During 2024 the classes: 1) Continued to work with the Dallas 911 Call Center operations, including over 1,000 volunteer hours, working with the 911 call center team and partners to improve the information and processes used to communicate and educate the residents, including children, and businesses in the Dallas Region about the needs and ways to utilize the 911 call center in an emergency or non-emergency situation. 2) Began working with the Southern Dallas County not for profit For Oak Cliff on their strategic plan, designing a memorial park, and community outreach programs.
