Through collaborative performance and lifelong learning opportunities, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain the skills and confidence to engage with the world.

Programs

Contracted services - artstream maintains partnerships with 7 leading organizations in the metropolitan disability community to offer 22 programs to 282 participants with idds. Partnerships provide a customized curriculum with performing arts activities and games that are fun, engaging and get participant's creative juices flowing. Fy24 partners include: community services for autistic adults and children, down syndrome network of montgomery county, makom (maryland), the arc of prince george's county, prince george's county memorial library system, and service source.

Performing arts classes and workshops - artstream provides performing arts classes and workshops for participants with idds. Artstream offered 12 programs with a total of 111 participants with idds. Class topics include musical theatre, improvisation, comedy, dance, social skills and meditation. "super social saturday" workshops focus on a specific theme to create a welcoming environment for participants to learn socializing skills, let loose, and have fun. "positively speaking" workshops teach public speaking and self-advocacy skills.
